BACKGROUND
In its 13th year, this conference, the only one of its kind in Michigan, is designed to educate small to large commercial and industrial businesses on energy technology, products, and services that will assist them in successful energy management. The event draws close to 800 people every year.
The 2010 Energy Conference and Exhibition’s theme will be “Save Money Now: Strategies for Energy Efficiency.”
You are invited to take an active role in this solutions-based event by submitting a presentation proposal. Presentation time slots will be 5 to 20 minutes, so feel free to submit your stories of even small successes. Please tell us about a CASE STUDY or PROVEN EXAMPLE that addresses any of the following topics that relate to the 2010 theme, target audience, and/or overall objectives of the conference:
TRACKS: Small Business, Commercial / Light Industrial, Large Industrial
TOPICS:
- Project Management
- Energy Optimization
- Financial
- Mechanical
- Emerging Technology that reduces energy consumption
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Abstract for oral presentation must be no longer than two paragraphs and must clearly present any of the above topics as related to the theme of the conference.
- Please identify the target audience and include a brief synopsis of the benefits that attendee will take away after hearing your presentation.
- E-mail your presentation abstract including title, author, affiliation and e-mail address to: Tim Walker at twalker@esd.org by December 23, 2009.
- Presentation abstract must be presented in a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) or Word format.
- If your presentation is accepted by the Energy Conference Planning Committee for inclusion in the conference’s program, then you will be notified of your acceptance by Friday, January 29, 2010.
- Upon notification of your acceptance, final presentations for the workshop must be presented in PowerPoint format and must be received by Friday, April 2, 2010. These PowerPoint slides will be included in the presentation handout and placed on the ESD and DTE websites.
