Join us for a unique event as we pay homage to the hub of Michigan’s workforce: its engineers and scientific professionals.
Assembled in one room, more than 200 professionals representing 90 ESD Affiliated Technical Societies will come together to recognize their outstanding members for their contributions to the betterment of our future and for leaving their mark on their respective industries.
Sponsored by The Engineering Society of Detroit and its Affiliate Council, the event will recognize the seasoned professional, as well as the recent graduate, and demonstrate that Michigan will always be the engine that powers the rest of the nation through a determined, dedicated and talented technical workforce.
The event will feature this year’s Gold Award winner, Lewis Walker, PhD, PE, President of Lawrence Technological University. This award is given to an individual who is collectively upheld by the council for his or her outstanding contributions to the fields of science and engineering.
Engineers will also be invited to participate in the Order of the Engineer Ceremony. The Order was initiated in the United States in 1970 to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession and to present to the public a visible symbol identifying the engineer. Any engineer who has graduated from an ABET-accredited engineering program or holds a PE license is eligible to participate in the ceremony.
Join us for this rare opportunity to honor and applaud Michigan’s Best.
