In the driver’s seat: Learn how ESD is shaping Michigan’s Future.

The Engineering Society of Detroit and its Institute have embarked on an ambitious journey to re-envision and re-shape Michigan’s Future through four critical Initiatives:

  • Engaging the Next Generation of Leaders: Through the Future Detroit Youth Symposium, the Michigan Regional Future City Competition, and unique high school program that will nurture and inspire youth’s love for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM).
  • Re-training & Re-tooling our members: Through two job fairs per year, networking events, conference & educational programs attended by more than 10,000 engineers and technical professionals.
  • Rethinking Our Systems: Through critical symposia dealing with a global freight hub, waste in healthcare, innovation, manufacturing, right sizing local governments, and construction productivity—all aimed to unify stakeholders and enable change.
  • Solving our problems: By calling on the very best of ESD’s technical professionals to solve problems, so we can address critical needs and improve Michigan’s economy by working to make Michigan and export state.
