ESD/ESDI Honors Eleanor Josaitis

Suit drive to benefit students looking to succeed in today's competitive workplace

In honor of Focus: HOPE's co-founder Eleanor Josaitis and the recipient of The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award, ESD and its Institute will host a suit drive to provide Focus: HOPE students with added tools to succeed in the workplace. "Gently-used" suits can be dropped off at ESD's headquarters in Southfield from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Other elements of this initiative include:

• Establishing the Eleanor Josaitis Engineering Hope Scholarship to be given once a year to a Focus: HOPE student who will be pursuing a college degree in engineering or a related field.
• Offering Focus: HOPE's students the opportunity to attend any ESD-offered training programs free of charge, as well as free memberships to those who apply.
