The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) Economic Forecast for Design and Construction is unique in its focus, comprehensive in its scope, and respected because of its distinguished speakers and diverse group of attendees.

This year will be no exception as Charles L. Ballard, Michigan State University professor and Stanford University graduate, talks about the state of Michigan's business landscape and outlines new opportunities for 2012. Professor Ballard will amplify on the themes of his 2010 book "Michigan's Economic Future: A New Look" and will discuss the fiscal and economic challenges that lie ahead.

Mr. Ballard will be joined by a group of industry experts who will discuss future trends in their respective industries:
