Green Jobs Training Opportunities
If you are a displaced engineer or in-between careers, now is the time to think about re-training and re-tooling for emerging opportunities in the areas of electric vehicle and advanced energy storage. Several educational institutions are offering free classes towards certificate programs for qualified individuals, who have been approved for payment by Michigan Works.
Upon completion of a certificate program, participants will be in a position to be hired in a number of good to excellent paying jobs, including electrical equipment installer, engineering technician or electrical engineer.
The following universities are offering certificate programs to help you achieve your goal. For more information about any of these offerings, contact ESD’s Fran Mahoney at 248-353-0735, ext. 116 or fmahoney@esd.org.
