Paul J. Beitz, Senior Vice President, Trammell
Crow Company
Mr. Beitz has almost ten years of service with Trammell
Crow Company. For the first eight years,he oversaw the Property
Management business and simultaneously served as an office
broker. He had significant success developing new third party
property management and project leasing assignments. In 2005,
he fully transitioned to the brokerage side, focusing primarily
on landlord representation.
Mr. Beitz has 19 years of property management and leasing
experience of all product types including office, medical,
industrial and retail. After 10 years experience with
the national firms of Premisys Real Estate Services and Koll
Management Services, he joined Trammell Crow Company in 1997.
Mr. Beitz has served institutional customers and REIT’s
including Wells Real Estate Funds, Kennedy Associates, Franklin
Street Properties and Reef. He has also served major local
developers, including Etkin Equities and Kirco.
Mr. Beitz earned a BS from the University of Michigan and
a MBA from Michigan State University. He is President
of the North Central Region of the Building Owners
and Managers Association (BOMA) International, Vice Chairman
of the BOMA International Nominating Committee, Past President
of the Metropolitan Detroit Chapter of BOMA, past member
of the Board of Directors for CoreNet Michigan and a member
on the Board of Advisors of Black’s Guide. Mr.

David Blaszkiewicz, President, Detroit
Investment Fund
Mr. Blaszkiewicz was formerly with Detroit Renaissance, having
joined the non-profit revitalization organization in 1990.
Most recently, as Director of Finance, his responsibilities
included management of projects related to transportation,
the environment, technology and the financial management
of Detroit Renaissance and related entities. He helped
facilitate the creation of the Detroit Investment Fund by
assisting with the development of its operating and management
plan and managing its capital campaign. He also served as
Secretary and Treasurer of the Fund.
Dr. Michael A. Boulus, Executive Director,
President’s Council
Prior to joining the Presidents
Council, Dr. Boulus served as deputy state treasurer for
education in Michigan's Department of Treasury, overseeing
the Bureau of Student Financial Assistance, the Michigan
School Bond Loan Program, the state educational assessment
program for K-12 education and the Michigan Merit Award.
He is the former executive director of the Middle Cities
Education Association and former deputy executive director
of the Michigan Association of School Administrators. He
is founder and first president of the Michigan Schools Energy
Cooperative and has been an adjunct professor in Michigan
State University's College of Education.
Dr. Boulus holds a doctoral degree from Michigan State University,
a master's degree from Eastern Michigan University and a
bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame. He
is the recipient of several awards, including the National
Leadership Award for Educational Leadership, 1999, in recognition
of his contributions to the improvement of American education. Dr.

Orie L. Dudley Jr., Executive Vice
President and Chief Investment Officer, Northern
Trust Corporation
Mr. Dudley is an Executive Vice President and Chief Investment
Officer at Northern Trust Corporation, Chicago. He is responsible
for setting investment policy and overseeing Northern's portfolio
management activities.
Prior to joining Northern Trust in his current position in
October, 2000, he was Chief Executive Officer and acting
Chief Investment Officer for Scottish Widows Investment Partnership,
Ltd. in Edinburgh, Scotland. He joined Scottish Widows Investment
Management SWIM) in 1998 as chief executive officer and oversaw
the merger of SWIM with Hill Samuel Asset Management to form
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in early 2000.
Before joining Scottish Widows, Mr. Dudley spent four years
with the Barclays Group, first as president and chief executive
officer of Barclays McConnell Ltd. (Canada) and more recently
in Europe as Managing Ddirector of Barclays Asset Management,
where he was responsible for the group's $7
billion European business. In addition, he held several senior
management positions with The Putnam Companies, including
director of equity research, chief of institutional marketing,
and chief of European development.
Mr. Dudley received a B.A. degree from Harvard University
and is a CFA charterholder.
Elliot Joseph, President and Chief Executive Officer,
St. John Health
He is responsible for leading the SJH organization and overseeing
its transformation into a quality and customer-service focused
system of hospitals and health services. He also represents
SJH to its parent organization, Ascension Health.
Prior to joining SJH, Mr. Joseph was the President and Chief
Executive Officer of Genesys Health System in Grand Blanc,
Mich. He has also held leadership positions with the Detroit
Medical Center, Huron Valley Hospital in Commerce, Mich.,
Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and Edward Hospital
in Naperville, Ill.
He is active in a number of professional and community organizations.
He currently holds leadership positions with the Citizens
Research Council of Michigan, the Detroit Regional Chamber,
the Greater Detroit Area Health Council, the Michigan Health & Hospital
Association, the Michigan Healthcare Executive Group and
Associates, New Detroit and the Oakland University School
of Health Sciences.
Mr. Joseph has a bachelor’s degree in business administration
and psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton
and a master’s degree in health services administration
from the University of Michigan.
Dennis M. King, FAIA, FESD, Principal,
Corporate Chairman and CEO, Harley
Ellis Devereaux
As Corporate Chairman and CEO for Harley Ellis Devereaux,
Mr. King has guided the growth of the 98-year-old multi-disciplined
company over the past 27 years to the industry leader it
is today. With an unwavering vision to build a superior,
flexible, and responsive firm, he spearheaded the growth
of the firm while increasing public awareness and appreciation
of excellence in architecture and engineering. Mr.
King’s introduction of quality management principles
into the design industry earned him his Fellowship in the
AIA in 1992. He was similarly elected to Fellowship
in the Engineering Society of Detroit in 1999. He has
received honors such as the Management Achievement Award
from the Professional Services Management Association, Executive
of the Year from the Oakland Executives Association, and
Today’s Workplace for Tomorrow Award from InForum. For
five years running, his firm has been named one of Metropolitan
Detroit’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work
For. Mr. King is a Director of The Engineering Society
of Detroit and will serve as President of the American Institute
of Architects - Michigan Chapter in 2007.
Bernard Swiecki, Project Manager, Center
for Automotive Research
Mr. Swiecki is a Project Manager at the center for Automotive
Research (CAR). He joined CAR in 1994 while a student
at the University of Michigan.
Mr. Swiecki has written and managed research in a diverse
array of automotive fields, including the economic contribution
of the automotive industry, the dynamics of automaker and
supplier interaction, the impact of Information Technology
on the industry, and facility retention and attraction by
automotive communities.
Mr. Swiecki has been involved in numerous consulting projects
which have addressed topics such as automaker strategy, the
adoption of new technologies by the automotive industry,
and the market potential of new vehicles. He has authored
numerous articles, as well as a column on the automotive
industry and regularly presents at conferences and industry
events.
Mr. Swiecki is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers
(SAE) and Society of Automotive Analysts (SAA). He
received his BA from the University of Michigan in 1998 and
his MS from Eastern Michigan University in 2003.
