ESD's Guarantee of Success

You will learn valuable study information from these courses. As a guarantee, if you do not pass the State Exam after taking our Review Course, you may attend the Review Course a second time either within the calendar year you attended the course or the following calendar year. There is a $25 materials fee for course handouts for retake participants. Offer contingent on available space in the class — register early. These courses are designed as an aid to help you prepare for the exam, and are not meant to be a substitute for studying on your own. Significant personal effort is required.

Since 1940, The Engineering Society of Detroit has successfully prepared thousands of candidates for Principles & Practice (PE) Part II State of Michigan exam.

The Principles & Practice of Engineering (PE) Part II Review Courses consists of 28 hours of instruction, on 7 half-day Saturday sessions, focusing on problem solving techniques needed for the Professional Engineers (Part II) Exam. Who should take ESD Review Courses?

You should take these review courses if you are preparing for or planning to take the NCEES exam for PE licensure in the State of Michigan. The review courses presume that you have been exposed to the fundamental principles of engineering relevant to your discipline but need a “refresher” review of core topics.

Textbooks & Course Materials

Students who register will receive a binder of instructors’ study notes on the first day of class. We strongly recommend review textbooks for the courses.

Students receive a 10% discount on materials specific to ESD's courses by ordering direct from Professional Publications.

Class Cancellation Policy

If inclement weather or another reason beyond our control causes the cancellation of a class, we will make our best effort to inform students, via e-mail and by phone, and the class will be rescheduled to a later date.
