All applicants will receive a one-year complimentary Student Membership in The Engineering Society of Detroit. The award will be presented at the Society's Annual Awards Program held each year in June, and the recipient will receive a $1000 scholarship from The Engineering Society of Detroit.

At ESD, we are proud to be the recipients of more than 85 applications this year for the High School Student of the Year Award.

The award is given each year to one or more students for outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement by a graduating high school senior pursuing a career in engineering or science. The recipient(s) receives a $1,000 scholarship and a one-year complimentary student membership to ESD. Recipients are recognized at the Annual Dinner event, which will take place this year on June 23, 2010 at the Motor City Casino Hotel in Detroit.
